Fiona Jones

Coach in Running Fitness

  • Background in sports science, and experience working in the fitness industry.
  • Currently working towards Event Group Endurance Award with England Athletics.
  • Qualified pre- and post-natal coach.
  • Provides coached club sessions – focus on track and road.
  • Provides advice and guidance with a focus on middle distance and endurance running, and can assist with individual training plans including strength and conditioning elements.

Geoff Davis

Fell and Mountain Running Coach & Coaching Coordinator

  • Covers all off-road running, i.e. fell, trail, cross country and  fell and trail ultras.
  • Provides advice and guidance, when requested, on all aspects of running including training, racing, running gear, safety etc.
  • Assists individual members with the formulation of bespoke training plans.
  • Leads planning of weekly training sessions.
  • Represents coaching interests on the club committee.

Ellen Powell

Running Coach and Head Coach of Durham Triathlon Club

  • Planning programme of weekly track sessions.
  • Provides advice and guidance, when requested, on all aspects of running including training, racing, running gear, etc, with a special interest in running for multi-sport events such as triathlon.
  • Assists individual members with the formulation of bespoke training plans.

Lindsay McEwan

Athletics Coach & Coaching Coordinator

  • Coordinates track and on-road training for the club and committee.
  • Provides coached club sessions for track events, and speed work for endurance racing.
  • Currently working towards Level 2 Athletics Coach with England Athletics.

Lotti Collier

Strength & Conditioning Coach

  • Leads and organises club’s strength & conditioning sessions.
  • Provides guidance and answers questions about stretches, mobility, and strengthening exercises using free weights and body weight.

Dave Jenkin

Distance Coach

  • Background in distance running, racing all distances between 3000m and marathon.
  • Believes in one-to-one coaching with sessions set on a weekly basis depending on athletes targets, progress, and family and work commitments
  • Believes in a long-term gradual build toward target races to avoid illness and injury.
  • Believes in group training as long as it is beneficial to all athletes involved.
  • Provides advice and guidance on races and tactics when asked.
